You do not have to hand an AI your whole business. Start with one job that costs you the most time, and add more once it is working.
1. Answering the questions you hear every day
Opening hours, where you are, what a service includes, how to book. If you answer the same question many times a week, it is a good first job.
2. Taking messages and details
Name, number, what they need and when. Collected the same way every time and passed to you, so nothing is written on the back of an envelope.
3. Booking appointments
Checking availability and booking a slot while the person is still on the line, instead of playing phone tag.
4. Sending urgent calls to a person
Not every call is routine. You decide what counts as urgent. The AI front desk hands those calls to the right person, with a note of what the caller has already said, so they do not have to repeat themselves.
5. Covering the hours you are closed
Evenings, weekends and holidays. Calls get answered and the details are waiting for you in the morning.
Where most teams start. Most teams begin with one channel, usually inbound calls or WhatsApp, and add others once the first one behaves the way they want. Nothing is rebuilt when you add a channel.
How to choose your first job
Pick the job that takes the most time for the least skill.
Pick one where a wrong answer is easy to spot and fix.
Test it with real examples before it talks to a customer.
Add the next job only when the first is running well.
