You do not need technical skills. You need to explain your business the way you would to a new member of staff on their first day.
Step 1. Describe your business in plain words
Who you are, what you do, who you serve, where you work and when you are open. Write it as you would say it.
Step 2. List the questions people ask most
Start with the ten you hear every week. For each, write the answer you would give. Use your own words, so it sounds like you.
Step 3. Say what it must never do
Clear rules matter as much as clear answers. For example: never quote a price you have not given it, never promise a time you cannot keep, never give advice outside what you do.
Step 4. Decide when it hands over
Name the calls a person should take, and who that person is. Our guide on handing over to a human covers this in more detail.
Step 5. Test it and improve it
Try real calls before any customer does. Read the transcripts, fix what is wrong, and try again. Our guide on testing an AI front desk gives you a plan.
How this works with us. A ContactVerse engineer sets up your first agent with you, including knowledge sources, workflows, integrations and test scenarios. After that your own team runs it from the console, with no coding.
A tip that saves time
Do not try to cover everything at once. Brief it on one job, make it good, then widen what it handles.
